We find that society is losing the ability to have unscripted meaningful conversation with everyday people on topics that require nuance. Curated messaging from cable news along with our siloed social media networks serves to keep us all in an information echo chamber. Open dialogue is how we learn new things. Information segregation threatens our ability to recognize when our collective self-interest is at risk.
One day we were sitting at a bar talking (loudly). A lady jumped into our conversation. We had a great dynamic discussion where we agreed, disagreed, and learned. At the end she asked if we were radio personalities. The answer was no. The next day the answer was yes.
